Properties:
Amber to brown pellet, Relative density 1.05, softening point min 80.0’C, Soluble in chloroform , benzene, acetone, CS2, difficult soluble in petroleum hydrocarbon, insoluble water. Innocuity, can burn.
Applications
Act as a radical scavenger in wide range of elastomers to protect against oxidative aging. Its long time persistence in rubber allows it to provide long term heat aging resistance to rubber compounds. It inhibits oxidation catalyzed by heavy metals. It migrates slowly within the rubber matrix slowly within the rubber matrix and does not bloom. It use in light ompounds, but it cause some minor discoloration. It cause only minimal staining.
